Chemung County has opened the application process for the Room Tax Tourism Grant, targeting non-profit agencies and organizations that aim to promote tourism in 2025. The grant supports activities such as events, festivals, and promotional materials designed to attract visitors. However, it cannot be used for capital or infrastructure improvements.
The goal of these initiatives is to stimulate economic activity in Chemung County by increasing overnight stays, dining experiences, and the sale of local goods to tourists.
Interested applicants can find the application form on the Chemung County website at forms.chemungcountyny.gov/RoomTaxGrant. The deadline for submission is March 7, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
