Vestal Central School District issued the following announcement on July 20.
As the Governor has not authorized reopening of school district facilities in New York State, Vestal CSD has not accepted nor approved requests for facility use. All District buildings and Hoover Stadium remain closed.
Regarding outdoor fields, such as Sammon Field, fields at our elementary schools, etc., they may be used for individual use. Individuals may practice, train or exercise on outdoor fields, providing they are respecting social distancing/face coverings requirements per the New York State guidelines. There will be no group activities on these fields.
In addition, the Town of Vestal has opened up town parks for individual use.
