Maine-Endwell School District issued the following announcement on Nov 2.
Congratulations to High School special education teacher Laura Stickler on being named the October Maine-Endwell Teachers Association Teacher of the Month.
Fellow teacher Christian McCarthy nominated Mrs. Stickler for the recognition for leading her team through preparations for a very unique school year.
“She contributed/shared with our department several useful forms/assignments that we are all now using as a department,” he said. “I am so appreciative of what she did. It was a ton of work on her part, which her colleagues all benefited from.”
Each month the Maine-Endwell Teachers Association (META) honors excellence in teaching within our district with the Teacher of the Month award. The award is given to a staff member who demonstrates the following leadership qualities: professionalism and excellence in and out of the classroom; commitment to the well-being of students; high ethical standards; and civic and charitable stewardship. Award winners will be nominated by their peers.
Congratulations Mrs. Stickler!
