The UHS Foundation has announced a special event in 2025, coinciding with the Kentucky Oaks Day. This occasion is dedicated to celebrating a "grand southern tradition" and will be held on the Friday before the annual Kentucky Derby. The Kentucky Oaks is renowned as a race of fillies and takes place at Churchill Downs Racetrack, which is adorned in pink to honor Women's Health.

Tickets for the UHS Foundation event are priced at $150 per person. All proceeds from this gathering will benefit UHS Women's Health initiatives. Attendees can expect an evening with a southern flair, featuring specialty cocktails, an open bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, and music. While wearing Kentucky Oaks or Derby attire—especially in pink—is encouraged, it is not mandatory.

The UHS Foundation has recently provided grants for several causes including a fridge and freezer for the Population Health Food Pantry, financial support for employees facing crises through the Employee Emergency Fund, professional development assistance for the Nursing Department, a defibrillator for NT3, and rocking chairs for the NICU.
